What makes a Khalil Mamoon hookah different from the others? Recently, I decided to invest in a Khalil Mamoon Indian Oxidized hookah. I’ll be honest, before having one of my own, I did not see the point in investing into a mid to high dollar hookah. Previously, my go-to hookah was a Kaya, which I still keep around for portability, but it does not hold a candle to the quality smoke the KM delivers.

The Khalil Mamoon transcends into a whole different plateau of hookah smoking. The size difference, for starters, makes all the difference. A 36” hookah just simply produces more smoke than a 13” hookah. Paired with its clay bowl and maybe a little ice in the vase for good measure it is truly an unmatched smoking experience. You can lounge and enjoy the smoke and flavor coming from your beautifully designed KM hookah.

I fill my vase with ice cubes predominantly and then fill it to the neck with water. I also prefer foil as opposed to the charcoal screen that the KMs come with. This method of preparing the hookah has proved to deliver billowing clouds and a flavorful taste experience with no bite. After breaking in the bowl I have developed a carbon line that I take care to keep the shisha level under (the black stuff that your bowl eventually accumulates) which ensures the shisha does not burn.

Great care goes into each handmade hookah and it shows. These hookahs are made following a long lasting tradition of quality and craftsmanship that the brand is known for.
