Get Your Gifts On Time – 2023 Holiday Shipping Schedule

As the holiday gift buying season and your hookah shopping savings continue on through the remainder of the year, it’s important to plan ahead when it comes to shipping.

It’s always disappointing when you’ve narrowed down your options to that gift that you know will be perfect and it doesn’t show up on time. Be prepared and shop ahead! While doing so keep the following dates in mind for shipping times this holiday season.

Shipping Times During the Holidays

When it’s not holiday season, you usually expect your orders to arrive within 1-5 business days depending on your location here in the U.S., but that changes during this part of the year.

Shipping couriers will be dealing with higher-than-normal volumes of packages and therefore the amount of time your order will take can vary outside of what you normally expect. Of course shopping earlier is your best option (you should be shopping right now).

Also keep in mind that our order volume will also be higher than it is during other parts of the year. While all orders received are processed within 24 hours here at SouthSmoke, it may take an extra day or two for your order to actually leave our facility.

2023 Holiday Dates to Know This Season

Although they’re pretty much second nature to most of us, here are the 2023 holiday dates to keep in mind – just in case you forgot.

• Christmas Eve: Sunday, December 24th
• Christmas Day: Monday, December 25th
• New Years Eve: Sunday, December 31st
• New Years Day: Monday, January 1st

Holiday Shipping Cut-Off Dates for UPS Shipping

UPS operates Monday through Friday meaning this year you want to plan to have your orders arrive on or before Friday, December 22nd. In the worst case scenario, you may be able to have something delivered on Saturday, December 23rd but we’ll get into that here shortly.

While shopping for your hookah gifts this 2023 holiday season, keep these dates in mind when using UPS shipping options for orders shipping within the contiguous 48 states.

December 19th – This is the last day to use UPS 3 Day Select to have an order arrive on or before the 22nd.

December 20th – You’ll have to use UPS 2nd Day Air on this date for your order to arrive on Friday the 22nd.

December 21st – If you’ve waited to this point your only option with UPS is to use UPS Next Day Air for a delivery on the 22nd.

Again, don’t put yourself in a bind! It’s best to get your orders in at least the week of December 11th. Not only will you save money on shipping costs for a guaranteed delivery by Christmas, but you’ll also have peace of mind knowing that your order will not arrive late.

*Note – IF you have a very last minute order placed on Friday, the 22nd, it may be possible to have it delivered on Saturday the 23rd. UPS does offer Next Day Air with Saturday Delivery in some areas. If you find yourself in this position, please contact us to ensure that the Saturday Delivery option is available in your area.

New Years Shipping Dates with UPS

Just like Christmas Day, New Year’s Day will also fall on a Monday.

December 28th:

• Orders placed on this date with UPS 3 Day Select will arrive on January 3nd.
• Orders placed on this date with UPS 2nd Day Air will arrive on January 2nd.

December 29th:

• – An order placed on this day with UPS Next Day Air will arrive on January 2nd. As mentioned above, it may be possible to use UPS Next Day Air with Saturday Delivery in some areas. Please contact us if you have any questions placing an order on this date.

Shipping with USPS During the Holiday Season

If you choose USPS as your shipping method for your order, this is a courier service provided by the United States Postal Service. Below are the shipping times provided by USPS, but keep in mind that they do not guarantee delivery times. While they are “estimates” they are fairly accurate. If you’re needing a guaranteed delivery you should opt for UPS shipping instead.

USPS Priority Mail: An estimated 1 – 3 Business Days in travel time once your order has left our facility.

USPS Priority Mail Express: An estimated 1 – 2 Business Days in travel time once your order has left our warehouse.
